Signal to Decision

A six-week studio for SaaS App KPI Analytics — from raw event tables to a weekly ritual your exec team can trust.

Data visualization projected in a meeting room

Learning outcomes

  • Define a north-star plus two supporting KPIs that survive board scrutiny.
  • Build a retention and activation reading guide your squad can reuse monthly.
  • Run anomaly reviews without freezing the roadmap every time a chart dips.
  • Write experiment briefs that name the metric, the guardrail, and the stop rule.

Learner notes

The Module 03 retention lab forced our CS lead and PM to agree on a single churn definition for the first time. We still argue about expansion credit, but at least the spreadsheet matches.

★★★★☆

Solid facilitation. The homework assumes you already have event-level data; our warehouse was messier than the examples, so week two ran long.

FAQ

Do I need a data science background?

No. Comfort with spreadsheets and basic product analytics tools is enough. We focus on interpretation and decision rituals more than SQL wizardry.

Can my whole squad join?

Yes — mixed PM/growth/CS cohorts learn faster. Ask us about group seating; we do not run checkout online.

What is a real limitation of this course?

Signal to Decision will not rebuild your tracking plan or warehouse for you. If events are missing or misnamed, you will still leave with a clearer critique — but instrumentation work stays on your engineering backlog.
